The best family restaurant in Marsaskala

I can’t believe it took me so long to discover the best family restaurant in Marsaskala. I just found “Non solo Caffe” an absolute gem of a restaurant tucked away in the heart of Marsaskala. It’s family-run, and you can feel that warmth and sincerity from the very first moment you walk through the door. The atmosphere is the complete opposite of those overly commercial, impersonal spots — here, it honestly feels like you’ve just stepped into a good friend’s home for a lovingly prepared meal.

The family who owns and runs the place are the kind of people who make you feel instantly welcome. They greet you with genuine smiles, ask how your day’s been, and serve you with such kindness and enthusiasm that you almost forget you’re a customer — it feels more like you’re a guest at their family table.

And the food? Oh wow. Every single dish we’ve tried has been fresh, full of flavor, and served in portions that could easily feed a small army — in the best way possible. The burger is insane — absolutely enormous, juicy, and perfectly cooked. You can tell nothing is rushed here — everything is made with care, and it shows.

One of the things I love most is the variety on the menu. Whether I’m craving a light starter like a crispy bruschetta or going all in with a creamy carbonara, a pizza, a classic hot dog, or even a traditional Maltese platter, they have something for every mood and every taste. It’s now become our family tradition to try something new every week — and we’ve never been disappointed.

What’s more, the menu is incredibly kid- and teen-friendly. My teenage daughter is notoriously picky when we eat out, and this place passed her test with flying colors. She actually asked to go back — which, trust me, doesn’t happen often!

The vibe of the place is just as special as the food. It’s got a laid-back, casual charm — more like a cozy café with heart than a formal restaurant. The sea view adds a calming backdrop to the whole experience, and the air conditioning and soft background music make it feel like a little pocket of peace where you can really unwind and enjoy good food and company.

Honestly, I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you’re ever in Marsaskala — especially with family — do yourself a favor and stop by. It’s not just about the food (though the food is amazing); it’s about the whole experience. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. And chances are, your kids will be the ones reminding you to come back.
