The Best Pasta Street in Valletta

I found the best pasta street in Valletta while doing some research to write an article about the best pasta restaurant in Malta. As a pasta lover I cannot go against what my taste tells me, so I had to change the title. You will understand why.

One of the articles that guided me through this gourmet tour was this one I found in Lovin Malta, one of the most read news sites in Malta: https://lovinmalta.com/food/malta-pasta-restaurants-guide-eat/

After tasting many delicious plates I think I discovered something useful for my readers: The best pasta Street in Malta.

That way, nobody will have to worry if one restaurant is full. You can go to the next one and will have a great experience for sure.

Before saying the name of the street, I want to tell you I first had the pleasure of dining at Pastaus , and I have to say, their homemade fresh pasta is out of this world! I ordered a classic Rigatoni Amatriciana, my wife ordered a Linguini Quatro Formaggi with Tartufo, and they were hands down the best pasta dishes We’ve ever had.

The pasta was perfectly cooked (al dente and not too soft) and the sauces were perfect  with just the right amount of creaminess. Not too dry, so they would look shiny and fresh, and not to liquid so they would stick to the pasta. The Quatro Formaggi with the truffle was rich and tasty, and the Amatriciana had that intense flavor that sticks to the brain and you never forget.

The dishes were also generously portioned, so it was definitely a good value for the price, and the service was also fantastic. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she offered great recommendations for other dishes to try.

The restaurant itself had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

If you’re a fan of pasta, I highly recommend trying Pastaus Restaurant – Valletta. Their homemade pasta dishes are simply amazing, and I can’t wait to come back and try more.

Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that I won’t forget anytime soon.

The next day I went just one block away on the same Old Theater’s Street. I visited Zero Sei and had again one the most delicious pasta I’ve ever tasted. The dish was a linguine carbonara with tartufo. The guanciale was crispy the pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich and creamy, with just the right amount of saltiness. The tartufo added a delicious flavor and aroma that paired perfectly with the creamy sauce.

The restaurant itself had a cozy atmosphere, and the service was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone visiting the restaurant.

If you’re a fan of creamy pasta dishes, this carbonara will not disappoint.

Overall, my experience at Zero Sei Trattoria Romana was fantastic, and I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious menu items.

So, If you happen to be visiting Valletta, when you’re walking through Republic Street and reach Pjazza Saint George, do not hesitate to turn left and go down through Old Theater Street.

No matter if you stop at Pastaus or Zero Sei, you’ll have an experience you will never forget.
